Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with deep expertise in benefits administration systems and API integrations. The ideal candidate has led complex benefits technology projects, coordinating across internal and external engineering, product, and client teams while ensuring integrations with HR, payroll, and benefits platforms are delivered on time and to spec. This role is central to SAVVI’s success in delivering seamless, scalable, and secure solutions for our partners and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end implementation and integration projects with employers, benefits administrators, and technology partners.
  • Oversee the design, testing, and deployment of API integrations with benefits administration systems, payroll providers, and insurance carriers.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications for engineering teams.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, risks, and deliverables, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Act as the primary liaison between clients, internal stakeholders, and third-party vendors.
  • Establish best practices for integration governance, documentation, and change management.
  • Ensure data security and privacy standards are upheld across all integrations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project and integration management processes.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of project management experience, including significant work with benefits administration systems or HR/benefits technology.
  • Proven experience managing API integrations and data exchanges (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, EDI).
  • Strong knowledge of employer-sponsored benefits (health, retirement, voluntary benefits).
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-stakeholder technology projects.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and client-facing skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (Jira, Asana, ClickUp, MS Project, or equivalent).

Preferred:

  • PMP or  CAPM certification.
  • Familiarity with benefits ecosystem integrations (payroll, carriers, decision-support platforms).
  • Experience working in a high-growth SaaS or startup environment and enterprise customers.
  • Comfort with technical discussions around APIs, data mapping, and system architecture.
